On Thursday, we all enjoyed a trip to Scarborough to watch the pantomime, Robin Hood. There was lots of great music and even some fireworks inside. It was lots of fun for everyone. At the end, Miss Stubbs went up on stage and danced to Baby Shark.

League Tables – Why our school is one of the best in the country!
Up at St John’s
Our Whole School Nativity in Church was a huge success. You can see a display of pictures from this event at the back of the church. We will add pictures from Christingle after the service on Tuesday the 18th at 9.30am. You are welcome to join us for this beautiful event.
Party! Party! Party!
Our Christmas Party was such a wonderful thing. Mrs Roe did all the setting up and Explorers,Adventurers and Pioneers arrived and had a really good time together. Everyone really got into the party mood. The most impressive thing was how lovely all the children were. Everyone was honest when they were caught moving in statues or last to the floor in bumps. We had lots of fun standing on small pieces of newspaper and helping friends to stay in the game. Pass the Parcel was played with grace. We enjoyed a few games of Corners and Pin the Nose On The Snowman. Baby Shark was the most popular dance track. We finished the party by jumping on bubble wrap.
Straw and Order-Our Nativity
The whole school family went to church this afternoon to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas, together. It was wonderful. From Explorers all the way up to Leaders,we all had a part to play. The church was full and families were standing in the aisle. Both cast and audience enjoyed the festive fun and the singing at the end was magnificent. We will do it all again tomorrow.
It’s Christmas
The Christmas Fair was a wonderful event from start to finish. It raised over £560 for our school and a good time was had by all. Mrs Exelby worked jolly hard assisted by lots of other busy elves.
Santa enjoyed chatting to all the children and was delighted to hear how much they enjoyed mathematics and english.
The Leaders helped out on all the stalls and were effective and efficient and we couldn’t have managed without them.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to this memorable event.
Happy Christmas Time
Coffee and Cake For Children in Need
Last week Pudsey came to visit and Mr Grason was able to highlight the work done by Children in Need. Today, it was the turn of our whole school family to raise some money for this wonderful charity. Children came to school in all sorts of spots. We got a shout out on Radio 2 in support of our fundraising efforts. Families donated lovely cakes and a good time was had by all.
A Very Special Visitor
This afternoon we welcomed some very special visitors to our school. Pudsey Bear and his friend Lucy popped in to say hello to everyone and to help us plan how we might support Children in Need. Pudsey was Flossing while Mr Grason was talking and that did make everyone laugh quite loudly. We put some music on and everyone got up and had a dance with Pudsey.
