School Day

As they arrive to school each morning, children and families are greeted by the Headteacher. Children are expected on the playground at 8.50am each morning and are then invited to complete activities in response to the previous day’s marking, or other key skills.

The school gates are locked at 9.00am. Any child/ren arriving after this time are marked as late.

A school day in Early Years:

Explorers (Pre-School)

8.50am – Morning session begins

12.00pm – Lunch (children may join us for lunch, or go home after lunch)

12.30pm – Afternoon session begins

3.00pm – End of the day

The children have fruit for snack during the morning and afternoon sessions.

 

Pioneers (Reception)

8.50am – Start of the day (to include registration and Collective Worship)

12.00pm – Lunch 

1.00pm – Afternoon session begins

3.15pm – End of the day

The children have fruit for snack during the morning and afternoon sessions.

 

A school day in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2:

Learners, Adventurers, Discoverers and Leaders

8.50am – Start of the day (to include registration)

9.10am – Collective Worship

10.30am – 10.45am – Break time

12.00pm – Lunch 

1.00pm – Afternoon session begins

2.30pm – 2.45pm – Break time for KS1 only

3.15pm – End of the day

During the school week, children enjoy a range of exciting activities as part of the curriculum. These include: sports, dance, music, outdoor Forest schools, swimming and computing.

The school day equates to 32.5 hours.
