School Day

Following consultation, in September 2023, the timings of our school day changed.

As they arrive to school each morning, children and families are greeted by the Headteacher. Children are expected in their classrooms between 8.45am, when the doors open and 8.50am, when the doors are locked. Any child/ren arriving after this time are marked as late.

   

 

A school day in Early Years:

Explorers (Pre-School)

8.45am (doors closed at 8.50am) – Morning session begins

12.00pm – Lunch (children may join us for lunch, or go home after lunch)

12.30pm – Afternoon session begins

3.00pm – End of the day

The children have fruit for snack during the morning and afternoon sessions.

 

Pioneers (Reception)

8.45am (doors closed at 8.50am) – Start of the day (to include registration and Collective Worship)

12.00pm – Lunch 

1.00pm – Afternoon session begins

3.15pm – End of the day

The children have fruit for snack during the morning and afternoon sessions.

 

A school day in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2:

Learners, Adventurers, Discoverers and Leaders

8.45am (doors closed at 8.50am) – Start of the day (to include registration)

9.10am – Collective Worship

10.30am – 10.45am – Break time

12.00pm – Lunch 

1.00pm – Afternoon session begins

2.30pm – 2.45pm – Break time for KS1 only

3.15pm – End of the day

During the school week, children enjoy a range of exciting activities as part of the curriculum. These include: sports, dance, music, outdoor Forest schools, swimming and computing.

The school day equates to 32.5 hours.
