Good morning everyone!

I hope you had a good weekend!

Today’s suggested learning activities are as follows -more details on Tapestry

In English this week we will be looking further into our beautiful book ‘Rain Before Rainbows’, so today I would like you to read the book yourselves, taking in the wonderful illustrations too.

In Maths we have a money focus and will use today to familiarise ourselves with different coins.

In Phonics we will be playing Buried Treasure – there’s an easier and a harder option!

Music – I have added a medley of Disney Songs for you to enjoy! There may be some you know and there maybe some new ones! What better way to start the week!

I hope you are all well!

We can’t really complain about the weather when it’s been so nice for so long! The sun will be back out soon I’m sure.

Today’s suggested learning is as follows;- Details on Tapestry

In Maths, I thought we would end the week with some times table practise.

Its-Read-a-Book Friday and the perfect day for it – cosy up somewhere nice and read your favourite book!

In Phonics there are some games to play today, practising plurals and past tense.

In Geography, using a line from our book ‘There are mountains to climb and journeys to take’, tell me about the journeys you are looking forward to making. 

I hope you have a great weekend, despite the weather, at least it’s good for the garden!

Good morning everyone. Its another rainy day, but warm weather is on its way!

Today’s suggested learning on Tapestry is as follows;-

In Maths, there are some Key Skills to do today, just like we so in class!

In English, still looking at our lovely book ‘Rain Before Rainbows’, we are going to write some super sentences about wind!

In Phonics, there is a book to share together! It was Mrs Browns own book from when she was 5years old! I’ve kept it for twenty years!

In Science, we will think about where wind comes from and maybe even make our own wind sock!

Hello Learners and families,

I hope you are all ok today! It’s a rainy day, but that’s ok as the warm weather will return soon!

Today’s suggested learning on Tapestry is as follows:-

In Maths, we will try our hand at some Place Value Code Breaking! Will you crack the codes?

In English, still focusing on our beautiful book ‘Rain Before Rainbows’ and the language used, we will think of pairs of things that go together one after the other ie rain before rainbows, clouds before sun.

We will do some Tricky Word spotting in Phonics today!

In Music, a musical storm to listen to and enjoy – perhaps you could make a rain stick today too?

Keep smiling whatever you are doing today. A great day to make an inside den!

This morning is bright, the sun is shining again after the rain just like in our story ‘Rain Before Rainbows’

Today’s suggested learning on Tapestry is as follows;-

In Maths, there is a fun Place Value activity to do.

In English, we will think about performance. Maybe you can perform a part of our story today!

In Phonics, there’s a fun game to play.

In Science, thinking about our story and the line ‘Night before daybreak’ also linked to last night’s story, let’s study the Moon a little closer.

Good morning everyone! It’s Monday, a new week and a fresh start!

Today we are launching our new whole school book ‘Rain Before Rainbows’. This wonderful book will inspire our creative learning over the coming weeks! – see Tapestry for the launch today!

With the book in mind I would like you to reflect upon the book today, listen and take in the words.

Some further suggested activities on Tapestry are as follows ;-

In English, I would like you to think of some wonderful weather words – we have had a lot of stormy weather this weekend so you will have lots of inspiration.

In Maths, there are some word problems today! Take your time with these and don’t rush!

In Phonics there are some captions and pictures to match!

In RE, a question to discuss today. Set aside some time and talk.

Good morning everyone!

It’s Friday again, where do the days go?

Today’s suggested learning on Tapestry is as follows ;-

In Maths this week we have been learning about 2D and 3D shapes. Today, let’s have a quiz and see what we have learned.

In English, we have been thinking about argument in our writing. Today we are thinking about what the term ‘pro’s and cons’ means.

It’s Mrs Browns’ Read-a-book Friday again – so grab a book and enjoy reading together – don’t forget to sign up to the Summer Reading Challenge today!

PE – let’s end the week in a relaxing way with a bit of yoga – there is a Frozen themed yoga activity and a Spiderman themed yoga activity for you to choose from.

The weather is a little bit cooler, but not raining at the moment – which is good!

Today’s suggested learning on Tapestry is as follows:-

In Maths we will begin to look at 3D shapes!

In English, I want us to think about where and why we use a question mark in our writing – so ask lots of questions today and draw an invisible question mark in the air when you do!

Some more spellings today, Lots to practise – how many will you get correct?

Mrs Brown came across an interesting short video about how computer games work – I thought you might be interested to find out!

In Maths we are looking at 2D shapes and using the correct language to describe them.

In English, we are thinking about persuasion. What does it mean and how do we do it?

Let’s do some spellings today and become experts at spelling the days of the week!

In History, we are being introduced to a new historical figure – Henry VIII – he is so interesting!

Good morning everyone.

I hope you are all well and happy today!

Today’s suggested learning on Tapestry is as follows:-

In Maths, we are still looking at 2D shapes – lets have some fun and make pictures just using shapes! I wonder what you will come up with!

In English, we will have a reading focus today! Why not sign up for the Virtual Summer Reading Challenge on the 5th June – it’s such an achievement to complete it at the end of the summer. Also, make sure you are keeping up with your fantastic reading – it is the most important thing!

In Phonics we will practise our sounds by saying and writing the sounds – why not use different colours to write them.

In Art today, Mrs Brown was inspired by some feathers she found – can you draw or paint a delicate feather?
